2013 Jetta/Golf TDI Sportwagen. Fuel economy is unearthly now!!! But the maintenance and upgrades have been quite pricey. How is the ride quality after changing the suspension. I still have factory shocks and everything and the car has 264.000km but if i drive it on bad roads its very bumpy and harsh.
Yanked out the egr cooler and looped the fluid hose to the heater core with a brass fitting. Yanked out the adblue tank with heater, wiring, hose, injector etc. Replaced the egr with a race pipe and cleaned out the intake manifold. Hardest part was pulling the egr without pulling down the inter cooler.if you look at page 65, you can see that when the soot builds up too much from short trips, the DPF lamp will light. if the MIL (malfunction indicator lamp) that looks like a little engine is lit, and you first post says there is some sensor problem, the issue could be that a sensor is not working.Good day, I currently have a 2006 Jetta TDI 5 Speed that has recently started the famous EGR cooler "hiss". The improvement from Stage 2 tunes comes from the exhaust change. Stage 2 (IIRC) disables the regen process if you get the emissions delete. No regens mean less fuel wasted, and there are a lot less restrictions so the setup breaths better as well. And re: the old Jetta's getting better MPG, those were running 90~100 HP and 149~155 TQ.

I believe even bio produces PM, which is the main reason for the DPF. It is just the nature of a heavy distillate fuel to produce PM.
